Daffodil afternoon was a resounding success!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Daffodil afternoon!
We welcomed about 170 visitors to the garden and raised a remarkable £754 despite the weather (it started to rain just as we opened the gate!)
Funds raised this year will go towards much needed new staging (shelving) for our polytunnel so that our client gardeners can grow more plants.
Our team of wonderful volunteers valiantly welcomed visitors in the rain, sold plants in the rain, served refreshments and a wonderful array of home baked goods – (thank goodness for our lovely pavilion!) Our visitors were not to be put off by adverse weather – what a lovely demonstration of community spirit.
Bravo everyone and thank you all for your generosity.
