  • mowing the lawn
  • nature-themed activities, such as craft projects and cooking vegetables grown in the garden

What gardening experience do I need?

Any – whether you’re a beginner or expert, our sessions offer a wonderful environment for esperiencing the benefits of horticultural therapy.

What happens in bad weather?

Our pavilion and polytunnel provide shelter when it’s wet or cold, and there’s plenty of shade outside when it’s hot.

What do I need to bring with me?

We provide all the tools and equipment needed for the activities you will be involved with.  Wear clothes that are suitable for gardening.  We can provide gloves, or you may decide to bring your own with you.  If you would like to have lunch at Ridgeline, bring a packed lunch with you – we provide teas and coffees.

Can I try a session to see if it’s for me?

Yes, of course. Please contact us to arrange a visit. You are welcome to come along to a trial session before deciding if it’s for you. This also gives us the opportunity to meet you and to see how we can help you make the most of each session.

Not a problem, as we have wonderful raised bed areas and adapted tools. Lots of gardening activities can be done sitting down, and other activities can be adapted to suit your needs, supervised by our qualified horticultural therapists.

The garden is easy to get to by public transport – go to How to find us for more details. We are not able to provide transport. If you prefer to drive, we have our own car park next to the garden.
