Volunteer

Interested in volunteering with us? We’d love to hear from you!  We couldn’t do what we do without volunteers.  Contact us to find out about current vacancies.

How do volunteers help, and what’s the time commitment?

  • horticultural therapy support volunteers – working alongside clients to enable them to get the most out of our sessions. Time commitment – around 3 hours a week.
  • fundraising volunteers – planning and assisting with events. Time commitment – variable depending on the task.
  • planning group volunteers to help develop and direct Ridgeline, with the option of becoming a trustee. Time commitment – a few hours a month.

What is the process for becoming a volunteer?

We have a simple form to complete – you can download it here. We will invite you to our garden for an informal interview – a chance for you and Ridgeline to find out if the role is right for you. We also ask for references, and do Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks on volunteers who work with clients. We will then agree with you whether we are right for eachother.

When you start volunteering with us, we will do our best to make sure you have all the information you need for your role.
