Location: Ridgeline Trust Therapeutic Garden, 25 Whiteknights Road, Reading RG6 7BY
Hours: Part time hours – individual availability encouraged in application
Salary: Competitive hourly rate

Do you have a passion for nature and a heart for helping young people thrive? Ridgeline Trust is seeking a compassionate and creative Horticultural Therapist join us on a part time basis (term time only applications also welcomed).Â
Working from our beautiful therapeutic garden, you’ll lead engaging horticultural sessions. We support both adult groups for both self-referred and socially prescribed clients with a range of presentations that benefit horticultural therapy and also for high school-aged students with physical and/or learning disabilities. Supported by volunteers or school staff, you’ll plan and deliver tailored gardening and craft sessions that inspire confidence, connection, and wellbeing.
What you’ll do:
- Design and deliver therapeutic gardening activities suited to individual needs
- Collaborate with volunteers and school staff to create a safe and supportive environment
- Keep clear records and contribute to ongoing service development
- Prepare reports and help ensure health and safety and data protection compliance
What you’ll bring:
- Evidence of education and qualification in Social and Therapeutic Horticulture
- Experience working with both adults and young people with additional needs
- Knowledge of or interest in horticultural therapy or therapeutic gardening
- Empathy, adaptability, and strong communication skills
- A proactive, organised approach to planning and reporting
Some flexibility for planning/admin to be done from home is possible, but all sessions will take place on site.
