Thanks to the Berkshire branch of Conservation Volunteers

We’d like to say a huge thanks to the Berkshire branch of Conservation Volunteers, who were brilliant on Thursday 29 May.  A team of ten tidied our hedges, weeded our beds, constructed a flat pack raised bed (which came with no screws or instructions!) and built our rockery in the prime spot in front of the pavilion.
This involved mixing 1 ton sand, 1 ton gravel and 1 ton top soil and shifting 1 ton of rocks into position. The new feature will be developed by our Tuesday afternoon group from Young People with Dementia to into what we hope will be an attractive all year round display. Watch this space…
