The plants sold like hot cakes – and the cakes did too!
Our annual open afternoon and plant sale yesterday (Sunday 19th May 2019) was a great way to end Mental Health Awareness Week. Over 300 people came along and enjoyed relaxing in our beautiful garden. The garden is full of colour and interesting areas to explore, and it’s lovely to be able to share it with local residents and other supporters.
Not only that, but with a huge number of plants sold and slices of cake eaten, our visitors helped us raise over £2,000. Yet again, we have raised more than in previous plant sales, which is a great help to supporting our work.
We’re really grateful to our staff, volunteers and clients who worked so hard before, during and after to make the garden look so lovely and make the afternoon such a success.
And thank you to everyone who came, spent and admired. We look forward to welcoming you again at our Harvest Fete on Sunday 15th September 2019 – save the date now!
