We are very pleased to say, following our last minute decision to re-schedule the harvest fete from Sep 23rd to the new date of last Sunday Sep 30th (due to an awful weather forecast) we were proved right !   Around 200 visitors came to the garden over the course of the day, including many new faces and potential volunteers, and around £800 was taken from donations, produce sale, jams & chutneys, bbq, pottery, books, dvds, tombola, plant sale, and a raffle.   A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated items, manned a stall, helped set up the garden on the day, and promoted the event; and everyone who came along on the day !

We were also very pleased to have photographers from The Reading Post and The Reading Chronicle at the Harvest Fete to see us “turning the first sod” in the footprint of our proposed building.  Foundation work is due to commence imminently.   Watch this space for progress on the building – we are likely to need volunteers to help decorate !
