Competition, chat and convincing

The garden is blooming in the glorious summer weather, and there’s plenty of other activity here at Ridgeline at the moment.

The competition – on Monday and Tuesday, we were busy preparing our entries for Thrive’s annual flower show next week.  One of the categories is best homemade compost, and we’re hopeful that our wonderful compost, produced from our garden waste, is in with a chance.  Sieving it makes sure it looks its best.

Chat – also on Tuesday, we welcomed back Bill Buckley from BBC Radio Berkshire.  He chatted to clients, volunteers and staff whilst enjoying the lovely atmosphere in our garden.  You can hear what everyone had to say this afternoon (Friday 5th July) from 3pm, or catch it on BBC iplayer afterwards.

Update – here’s the link to listen to the broadcast, our slot starts two hours and 8 minutes into the show (available until 3rd August).

And convincing – next Wednesday (10th July), not only are we going to the Thrive flower show, but we’ll be at Reading Soup from 6.30pm at St Laurence’s Church, Friar Street.  We’re one of three local organisations pitching to win funding.  Why not come along to support us?  Click here to find out more about the event.
