Harvest Fete takes around £1,550
The weather was pretty good throughout the long day, although a brisk shower about 3pm made everyone glad we had plenty of gazebos, and the tea room with cake and beverages.
As well as the established favourites, there were extra attractions this year. The excellent 4 Bones trombone quartet entertained us for an hour, and the multi-cultural gardening group brought a flavour of Nepal to East Reading. The community apple crushers from Wokingham provided added interest, plus a half share of their donations, and our own Ridgeline Volunteer Craft Group showed their creative flair.
Sincere thanks for the hard work by our volunteers that helped make this year’s Harvest another huge success!
